This class introduces students to the world of business, historical entrepreneurs, business practices today and careers in business. Students can earn Chemeketa BA100 credits with successful completion of class.

This class will explore marketing concepts and strategies as its related to the sports and entertainment industry. Students will have the opportunity to engage in virtual marketing simulations, explore local marketing and promotions and engage in school promotional activities.
This class will introduce students to the world of financial accounting and personal finance. Students will learn and use the Quick books software systems to track business expenses and income. This class will also investigate the many career fields with the accounting discipline

This course provides students with the skills required to use a computer as a business tool through the use of application software. Students will learn word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations. The course is designed to increase business skills by teaching them common computer skills used in the workforce.

My name is Bill Masei, this is my 26th year teaching and 13th year at DHS. I graduated from Pacific University with an M.A.T, and the University of Hawaii with a B.S in Managerial Economics. In addition to teaching and coaching at DHS, I work for a promotions company in Salem, Marketing events, creating and delivering marketing campaigns for local businesses and political campaigns. Prior to my teaching career, I worked in the investment banking for Bank of America, Commercial Real Estate industry for HARSCH Investment Corp, Sales and Marketing director for Spa Fitness Center and had internships out of college with the Seattle Seahawks (NFL) and the Portland Trailblazers (NBA).
